On July 11, 2023, at the invitation of the Singapore Bilingual Publishing Group, Professor Yan Xinggang from the University of Kent in the United Kingdom visited Beijing for a two-day visit. The two parties had in-depth discussions and exchanges on the development of the journal.

Professor Yan Xinggang is currently affiliated with the University of Kent in the United Kingdom. His main research areas are fault detection and isolation, as well as the application of time-delay systems. Professor Yan has published nearly a hundred SCI international papers, with over 6,000 citations, and has gained wide recognition and citation from scholars around the world. He actively participates in the international academic community and serves as an editorial board member for several SCI journals, continuously contributing to the advancement of scientific knowledge.
 
During the meeting, the leadership of the publishing group provided a comprehensive introduction to Professor Yan regarding the basic situation of their organization. The managing editor further reported on the current status of publication and development plans of the journal. Professor Yan not only fully recognized the publishing group's editorial philosophy and achievements but also praised the accomplishments of JEIS. He also provided valuable guidance and suggestions on the current issues and future development of the journal. Professor Yan expressed his willingness to actively participate in the relevant work of the journal in the future, jointly promoting its development and aiming for JEIS to be included in renowned databases at an early date.
 
Finally, the publishing group sincerely thanked Professor Yan for his contributions to the journal and looked forward to closer cooperation in the future.
