Milestones

• 1984

  

  Bilingual Publishing Co. was founded by Professor Tham Wai Houng.

• 1991

  

  Prof. Tham assumed the role of a Committee member in the inaugural HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi) examination, further showcasing his exceptional expertise and dedication to language education.

• 1999

  

  By end of the last century, Bilingual Publishing Co. has successively published hundreds of linguistic books and CDs such as “Fundamental Chinese Conversation”, ”English Idiom 300”, “Elementary Malay”, “How to Increase Thai Word Power”, “Stories from Chinese idioms”, “Stories of people from Chinese history” and "Elementary Japanese" etc...

• 2009

  

  As a testament to his outstanding contributions, Prof. Tham, was appointed as the President of the 85th Committee of Singapore Tham’s Association and served as the Chairman of the momentous 90th Double Anniversary Celebration.

• 2011

  Lee Kuan Yew's book affirms Singapore's bilingual policy. Since then, Bilingual Publishing Group has taken it as their mission to expand beyond Singapore and promote bilingual culture.

• 2015

  In a remarkable achievement, our society orchestrated a highly impactful academic exchange meeting on clinical and translational medicine in the vibrant city of Beijing, China. Under the expert guidance of Academician Han Demin, from the esteemed Chinese Academy of Engineering, the meeting was skillfully presided over, while our society's Editorial Committee actively engaged in this transformative exchange of knowledge and ideas.

• 2016

  

  Participated in international academic conferences and widely exchange publishing business.

• 2017

  Bilingual Publishing Co. completed joining of new shareholders and new election of board of directors. The board meeting has been promoted to board of directors, the new directors all agreed to elect Prof. Tham, former chairman of the board, who is 82 years old, as Life Honorary Chairman. By then, more than 50 publications have been created and more than 2000 international editorial committees have been signed.

• 2018

  Started collaborations with The International Academy of Academicians. The initiative was launched during the 30th Anniversary Forum of the China Branch of the World Productivity Science Federation and involves collaboration with several institutions, including the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the Beijing SECO Alliance Productivity Science and Technology Research and Development Center.

• 2019

  In a powerful collaboration, the International Academy of Academicians was jointly founded with the prestigious Institute of Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, solidifying its strategic partnership with the esteemed China Academic Exchange Center.

• 2021

  

  By end of 2021, 29 specialized international journals in various fields that are indexed by numerous global databases such as Scopus, SCI, EI, CAS, J-gate, Semantic Scholar, Google Scholar, MyScienceWork, CNKI, VIP, Scilit, ICI, BASE, WorldCat, Wanfang, and Baidu Scholar.

• 2022

  

  Bilingual Publishing Group (BPG), formerly BP Co., is currently undertaking the "Chinese Traditional Wushu Culture Inheritance and Development Translation Project." They have signed an export agreement for 10 books with China Fangyuan Electronic Audio and Video Publishing Co., Ltd. These books feature renowned masters explaining the essence of Chinese martial arts to convey its spirit and soul.
